Obama Tenderizing National Security

"The Obama administration is freely giving Russia sensitive information about missile defense that weakens U.S. national security."

BY R. JAMES WOOLSEY, REBECCAH HEINRICHS - President Barack Obama's administration recently threatened to veto the defense budget, citing "serious concerns" over provisions that limit the U.S. missile defense know-how that the White House is permitted to share with Moscow. This is the sort of information that Russian Prime Minister Vladimir Putin, in his earlier days, would have assigned his spies to steal. Through its single-minded pursuit of "resetting" relations with Russia, the Obama administration may simply be willing to hand over this information and, in doing so, weaken U.S. national security.

Only two days after issuing the veto threat -- and as Obama tried to warm Russian President Dmitry Medvedev to U.S. missile defense plans at the G-8 Summit in Deauville, France -- the House of Representatives passed the defense bill. It included the provision that the president's team finds so offensive: Section 1228 requires that no funds can be used to provide the Russian Federation with sensitive U.S. missile defense technology.

This act of congressional prudence did not come out of nowhere. The Senate debate over New START raised questions about what the Obama administration may have promised Moscow regarding U.S. missile defense plans. The debate stemmed from the treaty's preamble, which linked offensive and defensive weapons, and a Russian unilateral statement that stated ratification of the treaty was conditional on whether the United States made improvements to its missile defense systems. In a treaty about reducing offensive weapons, it was clear the Russians required the Obama administration to include U.S. defenses in the bargain.

With that issue still unresolved, Congress discovered that the administration has been working on a missile defense agreement with the Russians and that Moscow had requested that the United States share with it loads of sensitive U.S. missile defense technology and operational authority as part of that deal. In the administration's eagerness to please the Kremlin, it may just oblige.  (continue reading)

Napolitano Shuffles Away From Intelligent Answer

D.C. Acts of Perversion Understandable

Hollywood opines:
Alec Baldwin on the Congressman Anthony Weiner scandal: "My thought on Weiner is that he is a very busy man. Like most, although not all, politicians, he probably spends a great deal of time going to meetings, raising campaign funds and seizing upon every opportunity to remind people of how great he is as a public servant and a human being. It's exhausting. He exists under a constant pressure cooker of self-analysis and public appraisal. Like other politicians, he needs something to take the edge off." - Fox Nation

Photo I.D. = Jim Crow Laws

DNC Chair Debbie Wasserman Schultz enlightens host on all-black network (observe her usage of "literally"):

From Low Expectations Demean Black Citizens by Dennis Prager
[snip] "It is hard to imagine a more demeaning statement about black America than labeling demands that all voters show a photo ID anti-black.

This is easily demonstrated. Imagine if some Democratic politician had announced that demanding a photo ID at the voting booth was an attempt to keep Jewish Americans from voting. No one would understand what the person was talking about. But why not? Jews vote almost as lopsidedly Democrat as do blacks. So why weren’t Jews included in liberal objections to voter ID laws?

We all know the answer. Jews are generally considered intelligent and therefore no one would assume that obtaining a photo ID was demanding too much of even poor Jews (yes, there are poor Jews). Therefore, one can only infer that the argument that demanding photo ID for voting will disenfranchise many blacks suggests that many blacks lack the capacity to obtain a photo ID."[snip] Read full article

"...a True, Pure, Peaceful Neo-Nazi"

"Dear Family,
I am writing to inform you of truly great news. I know how sad and worried you all were when I was convicted of armed robbery and sentenced to two years in prison. As it turns out, this was the best thing that has ever happened to me. My time in prison brought me into contact with an outstanding group of people and ideology that I didn't know much about before my time behind bars. They have taught me discipline of both mind and body, are very insistent about dietary rules, and have taught me all about how the world should work, and how utterly broken and unfair our current system in the United States is, and have showed me the truth of how the Jews are actually controlling everything. Upon my release next week, I am going to join with these people and we are going to change the world. Someday soon our flag will fly over the White House and over the entire United States, and then there will truly be equality, fairness, and plenty for all.
Yes, that's right, I have become a Neo-Nazi.
Now, I know what you must be thinking, but I want to assure you that I'm not going to be that kind of Neo-Nazi. I am going to be a true, pure, peaceful Neo-Nazi. I'm not actually going to kill anybody. That's not the kind of Neo-Nazi I am going to be.[...]" (read all)

Is Time Magazine Racist?

By Tim Graham | June 03, 2011 | 23:03 - Twice in the last two weeks has Time magazine devoted a page to Mark Halperin's oddsmaking on who will be the Republican nominee -- the May 23 issue (page 35) and the June 6 issue (page 16). Twice, there's been no mention of Herman Cain. The GOP cast of contenders is lily-white. This seems odd, since Cain participated in the first presidential debate on May 5 to high praise and formally announced on May 21. Are Time and Halperin racists? They can't say they're unaware that Cain is running.  (continue article)

McDollar Menu Driving the Job Market?

McDonald's Created Half of All New US Jobs in May

Newsmax, Friday, 03 Jun 2011- The McDonald’s fast-food chain may have been responsible for at least half the jobs created in the United States in May, according to numbers reported by MarketWatch.

Morgan Stanley calls it the “McDonald’s Effect,” according to MarketWatch’s Washington Bureau Chief Steve Goldstein — an estimate that as many of the 30,000 of the 54,000 jobs added in May were the result of a hiring binge by the hamburger chain, according to The Weekly Standard. [...]
