The "Story Of Stuff" is a 20 minute animated video about the "life-cycle of goods and services" (the evil of capitalism). The documentary was funded by the Tides Foundation, The Funders Workgroup for Sustainable Production and Consumption, Free Range Studios and other foundations. Annie Leonard is the author and host of the online video that is currently thriving in school classrooms and producing more enviro-marxists throughout America. It's been seen in 228 countries and territories as well as veiwed more than 7 million times as of September 2009 according to the hosting site. Foreign subtitles are provided so that the whole world can see just how destructive our capitalism is for their portion of the planet.

Ms. Leonard said that the video was “originally made for environmental conferences and never made for children.” Yet, she acknowledged “…urging schools to download the video or buy DVDs for classroom use". According the filmmaker, it has been seen already in 7,000 schools.
